Karen Brown

Artist Karen Brown was the first artist at Under the Cherry Blossoms. She met owner, Lynn Wisniewski, many many years ago when her husband was doing doll repair for Lynn's mom's doll shop...now Under the Cherry Blossoms! Karen & Lynn have always had a bond like family and greatly enjoy working together to come up with new ideas for her sewn creations.

Karen started sewing when she was around 10 or 11 years old after her mother said she could not touch her sewing machine...of course, Karen wanted to even more! She had fun sewing and at some point, she had her first paying job and thought to herself "Unbelievable, I can get paid to do this!?!"

The thrill of the hunt for unusual fabrics and what she can create from them brings Karen great joy. From kitchen aprons and towels to baby and adult bibs Karen enjoys creating fun & functional items people love to use & give as gifts.
